Great to see this one. A brilliant Place for gaming. Planned it for a long time, because it is self-contained. Like a space-station e.g. in Moonraker. Great work.

It folds into a 50x50x35 box. Still bulky but manageable

Yes I saw it on your blog. I think that is a great feature of this piece. Perhaps it could be stored in an even smaller box by downsizing it a bit and putting bits inside other bits when in storage. Then I might be able to squeeze it in between the other stuff in my limited storage space.
It would be great for use with my collection of 28mm frogmen.

Nice work.  But if you game a Deep Water Horizon scenario you'll really have to mess the JeeBeesus out of it. :o

That's an excellent scratch build.  Perfect for a Diamonds are Forever style finale.

Magnificent piece of terrain/game board !  :-* I have a similar project on back burner : a big landing pad (intended for Star Wars Legion) made from the wood "plate" of a wall clock and separate cardboard tubes (for 3,4,5 or 6 feets with/without central elevator depending of the mood). Great blog too.
A word for miniatures, scenery and rules compulsive buying ? Zhobbyllness !

But...don't you play your 28mm frogmen games in the bath like everyone else?
I tried 15mm once but the frogmen went down the plug hole.  >:(

Well, there's only enough space in the bathroom for a shower I'm afraid.
Pretty good for replicating heavy rains on a small tabletop but no good for frogmen   lol

And a bath would take up even more space than a foldable oil rig  ;)
