Made a pergola and gave blood to the miniature gaming gods.  Fresh blades are nice but i forget how sharp they start.

Looks great! And shedding blood for a build shows commitment. ;)

I normally don't base a lot of my terrain so it can be used in multiple environments but for this build i am.  So i cut out rough shape from 3mm sintra.  Carefully with a sharp exacto

Added railings and stairs (ttcombat).  Used some electrical wire for pump hoses, topped with cap nut.  Stairs need some fit adjustments and a small railing piece to tie them in.

Still need to decide on final placement, pour the resin, and paint.  Almost there.  Ordered some swimmers but not sure they’ll arrive in time.

Interesting build :)
That pergola is pretty sweet!

After ignoring this for too long, realized the deadline is upon me.  Time for resin pour since it takes 72hrs to cure.  I’ve never done this so fingers crossed.  It’s 2 part 1:1 mix from Michael’s craft store.

First fill up pool with water to get total amount

Next pour water into cup and make total mark.  I’m lazy with math so pour into 2 cups to match.  That has to be half, right?  So mark them both.

Now the tricky parts.  Pour resin part a and b into their own cups to the half line.

I suppose you could pour them into the same cup, half at a time but I wanted a way out if i messed up.

Pour together and stir for 4 minutes

Now the “no way back” part.  Add some blue dye.  Only used 2 small drops and stir for a couple more minutes.

Finally pour resin into the pool.

Now just need to wait. Not my strength to be honest.
In the meantime I’ll need to work on the base.  Nothing great or new, just my usual rough spackle for texture.  Then it’ll be painted and finished layout.

Good luck! If it helps at all the water looks quite inviting.

The dive into resin seems to have paid off - looks good enough for a swim.  lol
