Raglan's War on the Plains
« on: February 01, 2022, 05:33:39 PM »

This is another new project for 2022 and a period of history which I have fancied wargaming for ages. I will mainly be using the fantastic 28mm ranges from Artizan Design (Northstar) and Wargames Foundry.

Let the buglers sound and the braves put on their warpaint, for this is War on the Plains.

Capt Tom Custer, younger brother of George Armstrong Custer, served as his aide at the Battle of Little Bighorn, against the Lakota and Cheyenne Indians. Seen here, leading a troop of the 7th Cavalry.

On June 25, 1876, Lt Charles DeRudio was with A Company and crossed the Little Bighorn River as part of Major Marcus Reno's battalion. Seen here with his 7th US Cavalry Troop and Indian Scout "Joe" Walks with Elk.

Some frontier settlers - the Ingle family are searching for their very own little house on the prairie. Nelly Ingle had a roll in the hay with a cowpoke 10 months ago and now has a plus one.
