Great painting on great figures, makes me wish I had not sold my collection. Kept some of the robots though.

A blast from the past indeed...
I had 2 of them but one of them crumbled ( might be from a higher lead content + high humidity ??? :( )....come to think of it I have had several citadel minis from that time which did that ... & 2 of them were painted.!!!!..

Thanks for sharing
Brought back some fond memories

Lead rot... very poor quality alloys used at some periods along with maybe storing minis in wooden boxes? I've had to take my stuff out of IKEA storage since having a bunch of Citadel medieval minis crack  :-[

I used to have these, and played many Laserburn games with them. I think some of the artwork in the rules might have been based on them?

Laserburn. That was it, just couldn't remember the name of the rules!

In a nostalgia hit I bought a copy off e-bay.
I think I might use them when I renew my
15mm Sci-Fi.

Thanks all for your previous kind comments. After some weeks of pinning, filling, sanding and swearing I have now added the  S49 "Big Brother" Armoured Security Vehicle with Crew to my Spacefarers collection !

Nice job on that. I always found basing those vehicles
was a real pain, especially in 'flying' mode. They are
very heavy.

Excellent painting. I’d love to get in some Star Grave games with those miniatures. :)

so much character in those old sets.

prob. a sign of age, but I increasingly prefer it to a lot of modern stuff. But paint-jobs like yours make all the difference.

Absolustely cracking! With your paintjob that looks like it's straight off the cover of af a pulp 1970s novel.  You're like if Pennington worked in the third dimension.
