ACW Help
« on: March 19, 2022, 10:28:56 AM »
I wonder whether anyone can help me with something that's bothering me. Ages ago someone brought out an ACW figure of a mounted officer on a rearing horse. The officer was half-turned back and he had a sword in his right hand. A lovely figure. It was very popular at the time. I had one at one stage but I can't find it now - maybe I gave it away. Can anyone please put an end to my pondering and let me know where it came from. I suspect it may have been a freebie - perhaps from Salute or from a magazine. I don't collect ACW figures now so don't want one, just to be reminded where it came from. Thanks.

Was it the Salute miniature from the Perrys?

Yes, it was. Many thanks. I'll stop searching the web now. It's great figure - very dynamic.

The occasional casting still pops up on Ebay from time to time but I suspect they must be getting expensive now.

I was reminded of it because I've just finished reading Gods and Generals and I'm now re-reading The Killer Angels - both books which bring the history to life.
