Some Fantasy minis (new pictures 04 04 2022)
« on: March 13, 2022, 05:07:14 PM »
For me it is so easy to get distracted by some nice fantasy figures and neglect the figures I'm 'supposed' to be painting. All are Reaper figures.

Love these - especially the beaky alchemist and the last one (assassin/rogue)

Fantastic
No dear, they are not toys, they are models

Absolutely cracking stuff!  8)

Are these metal miniatures or Bones plastics?

The reason I ask is that I was recently given a Bones miniature as a freebie with a purchase and it was a grey, pretty hard material that held sharp edges really well, as opposed to the original, horribly bendy, white plastic Reaper used initially.

Made me rethink my entire stance on Bones miniatures...  :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Thanks Daeothar, that is really nice of you to say.

The figure at the top, the yellow/white/green wizard is metal. The rest are all Bones plastic. Yes, in recent months Reaper has changed both the material and the way their plastic figures are made. They are now using a harder, sharper PVC(?) that they are calling 'BoneUSA'. Having said that, only one figure here is BonesUSA, the brown and red thief/rogue/assassin, all the rest being the original Bones. HTW and thanks again for your kind comment.

A couple more figures finished, both by Reaper Miniatures.

First, quite an old figure from a fair way back in the Reaper Minis catalogue, Human Cleric, Jonas Kane, Undead Hunter (02184) a Bob Ridolfi sculpt.

Then an Elf Ranger, Lanaerel Grayleaf, from the Bones 5 Kickstarter Dungeon Dwellers Expansion.
