A Tale of 3 Owlbears
« on: April 06, 2022, 03:33:25 AM »
Hi to all,

A few years back, I ordered a lot of minis in one go from Reaper Miniatures. They had this promotion where you'd receive a free mini for every 40$ spent or something like that. Since there was no choice as to what mini you were getting, my 120$ worth of minis ordered got me 3 Bones Black Owlbears. The mini was pretty good even though I find the pose a little odd so I decided to have fun with them. Here are the results.

The first one is the basic, "woodland" one. Straight out of the box, no conversion at all.

The second one was converted and painted with Frostgrave and snowy owls in mind.

The last one was inspired by a post on this forum. A Member whose name I forgot wrote that he'd like to see an Owlbear version of Foghorn Leghorn. I really liked that idea, so I gave it a try. Here's the results.

Finally, group shot.

(I should really finish these bases...)

Great job on those! The chickenized version is brilliant!

That snowy one is just  :-* I mean they're all good but a snowowlbear is something I've NEVER seen.

...no, I've never seen a chickenowlbear either, that's also awesome
