Something around 17,000 painted figures is quite impressive!  Good job.  One day I hope to be where there are few to none figures left to paint.  That is a several years into retirement, though.  Maybe more than several.

What I need to do is get enough of each collection painted to be able to game with it and then just slowly build each collection to completion - painting wise, they are almost all complete as far as purchases.

I tend to buy in batches. Painting sticks take 16 each so its usually 32 infantry or 12 cavalry. I also tend to have two projects on the go at once so I can alternate between them. And these days I use eBay to turbo-charge projects with ready painted figures.

Oh, you're not a Toy Soldier-aholic. You're a collector of "Fine Art", one who delves into the world of the fine arts, of sculptures from world, made by renowned artist. You should proudly display your most cherish collection, right up there along with Michelangelo's "David". In massive ornate display cases, that would enhance one's enjoyment of admiring such a collection.

You great "Collector of Fine Art".
Just remember "If the Enemy is in range, so are YOU!
