Sir Dryden's Old School Sci Fi Thread
« on: April 06, 2022, 02:01:00 AM »
Hi to all,

Since Disney-owned Star Wars does absolutely nothing for me, I decided a few years back to drop my Star Wars themed 28mm project. Instead, I started taking bits and pieces of stuff that I like in pop culture, sci fi 'em up and create my own little sci fi universe. Here are the first results of this turnaround.

First, you might remember these:

I finally finished them. Originally, I intended to use them as Rebel Alliance scout speeders. I finally decided to make each of them unique. Here's what I ended up with.

Jalopy(L) and Hot Rod(R) versions

Pickup(L) and Messenger(R) versions

Since I just love the Messenger version, here are a few more pics.

Finally, the Corporate Police version:

Hope you guys like them, more stuff to come soon.

Just realized I forgot to post this one. Just in case you're wondering where the color schemes came from. If you were around back in the late 70s, early 80s, it should ring a bell...

More to come soon.

Cool! We had a set of those Tupperware cups when I was a kid! They were near indestructible. I like the skimmers a lot. The one covered in baggage is my favorite.

Luv em!
I do prefer the 'solid' cockpit ones, so much easier/nicer
in game play as crew figures not needed.  :D
BUT the stash of bags etc. on top of the green one is brilliant.
Well done.
