Hello LAF Hivemind,

I wonder if anyone on the forum has experience in cleaning resin vehicle models with isopropanol or isopropyl? I would test it out myself, but I don't have any resin chunks about, and in fear of models getting eaten by the paint stripper isopropanol or isopropyl, I wondered if anyone knows whether it is safe to dip them into a bath of it to get rid of some nasty spray primer.

Help is very much appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Well, IPA is used to clean resin after printing...
There may be several types of resin, since that's photosensative and not a two component mix?
But I did clean some old Hawk wargames dropzone commander models in the day.

As far as I know IPA is safe for any type of material used for models.

I've used Purple Power and Super Clean for a fair number of resin miniatures. Not sure about the isos...

I have a couple of Blitzkrieg models ,alcohol is fine. I’d also wash them in dishwashing detergent not too hot ;)
