A Shadowy rules book
« on: May 14, 2022, 11:26:24 PM »
Has anyone come across Shadows of Centralis?
https://shadowsofcentralis.com/
https://www.lucideyepublications.com/

It is on the Lucid Eye website.  There is little description about the rules and the only way to currently find out anything about them is to buy a magazine about the rules from Amazon or sign up to yet another Facebook group.

The rules look like they may be interesting, but it is hard to tell..........

I’m actually looking forward to this, the author is an interesting chap;  a musician and a gamer. He does interviews and biographies too.

I just got my copy this morning. The rules seems fairly familiar- they read a bit like a more streamlined version of WHFB but based on a D10 system and with a few interesting and flavourful additions. They certainly read as if they are very playable.

The main interest for me is in the world building and everything the author has put in about the setting. Its very interesting- and at 400 pages with 15 army lists and scenarios as well as the background you get a fair bit for your money.

I also got the Lucid Eye exclusiveness which is lovely- like a Steve Slah take on Harry the Hammer

Just noticed this thread and thought I'd say hello! I'm John, the author of Shadows of Centralis, feel free to direct any questions you may have. Should it be a benefit to others, I am happy to post a thread on the game, if that helps and is allowed?

Looks interesting, I am getting an evil viking vs Byzantium vibe.
Have ordered the magazine to have a look.
