Reproductions
« on: May 04, 2022, 04:06:58 PM »
It occurred to me to make reproductions of catapults that have been exhibited in castles around the world.
Here I show a reproduction of a trebuchet that was exhibited in les Baux de Provence, France

That looks very good. How big is the model, and what scale would it be?

This is beautiful as are the others on your site (correct link is https://sherlockripper.blogspot.com by the way).

Wish I had the money and space to collect and show them.

That looks great. Reminds of a visit to Castlenaud in France some years ago... pre divorce when holidays could be afforded!

I would love to have one of those in my house in a display case.

Lovely work  8)

I’m assuming it’s made from oak (white oak perhaps)?
cheers

Nice!

I've seen that one at Castelnaud, too. Not far from there is the chateau that Josephine Baker lived in, which has a nice little museum (or at least it did in 2005). That was a good day out. :)

yes, it's made of oak.
yes, it is similar to the one exhibited in Castelnaud.
:) :D I don't think it will reach the neighbors' cat.

I have seen that one.  Very nice job and quite accurate.
