Thanks for all the input guys.  Much appreciated. I think I have a path forward now.

I started with dragon red from Army Painter I think, then highlighted up using a regular/mid orange, and mixed some bright yellow in for the end highlights IIRC. Yellow I believe I mixed some brown in to Vallejo Yellow Ochre, then Yellow Ochre just leaving the shadows, and highlighted up with a dull yellow (Vallejo German Yellow I think)
