15mm Silver Bayonet "The Deep Ones Came" (Update 9/1)
« on: May 20, 2022, 02:50:32 AM »
Still working on getting everything together and things are moving forward, I have selected my seafaring team and hope to have them posted soon. I am also wait for my marines a Naval Officers as well, in the meantime.

I bought a set of "Sinners" from Ral Partha http://ralparthaeurope.co.uk/
A nice set comes with 1 leader and 11 followers the followers come in to poses. I thought make a few more poses would be great so I grabbed my tools and stuff.

Here are the two main poses

So after some hacking and whacking, some glue and putty.

Making another bald cultist guy

Relocated a head

Removing and adding a new arm with weapon

With the other pose

Relocated the arm

Just adding a hood

I need to finish their bases and get them painted. They will also work for other games I like Pulp Alley and Monster of the Week just to name a couple, and of course 15mm D & D games too.

Thanks for looking

Doug

You can never have too many cultists. And of course always nicer when it isn't the same half a dozen looking guys. Nice job on those conversions, they look great and am sure will look even better once you slap some paint on them. You'll have to post them then, and thanks for sharing.
We haul ours to kick theirs.

Thank You, for the kind words

I have my seafaring ship's crew based and primed and started to finish the bases on the cultist and hope to have them ready for paint soon.

Ship's crew,
Officer, Captain Victor Thender
Junor Officer, Lieutenant William Hawker
1st Mate, Joe "Salty" Blackman (using the "Highlander" stats with "Sailors" Attributes)
Paranormal Investigator, Lady Marcia Blacksmith
Sailor, Jacob "jake" Stoker
Sailor, Hayes "Laughs" Preston
Sailor, Ashton "Ash" Heywood

When I post their photos, I'll add their backstories.

Doug

I finished painting my Cult group, these guys are going to look great on the table I wish the photos were better for the camera and light did not do them Justice. I am working on the photographing situation to have better photos.

The Whole Group

Just a Couple of "The Converted Ones"

Their Supreme Leader

very nice all the same :)

would you say they are true scale 15mm or more like the current trend of being 18mm but called 15mm

If you measure to the eyes, they are 17mm. I most of figures might range from 15mm to 18ish if measured from foot to eyes. That is how I measure figures. So I wouldn't call them "True 15mm"

Those are the ones! I save a few from the set to do a smaller group of armed monks, I just want to clean them up and make them look more like monks with maybe different color robes.

I had thought long and hard about CP Models Cultist however I was making an order from Ral Partha I thought that these would work as well. Besides whom said you can only have one cult group?

Good point!  You can have different fighting gangs of radical monks/cultists, from different rival abbeys/monasteries/covens.

Could the game have a cult that is attempting to accomplish the same goals of other teams, or you could have a team of monks, with the head monk being the "Officer" and all the additional monks could fill in as Junior Officer, Supernaturalist and others. After all these monks just didn't pop up from nowhere. They could have come to an Abbey from the military, seeking a quieter life only to be draw in by all the evil that is out there, and now have to use their former military skills to battle the evil and collect all the mystical items out there, to lock them away, so that no one nation can be in full control.
