Picked up some great minis from CGM to start my first run at 18mm Naps

decided to start small with Sharp practice and Ospreys chosen men

The double stand represents a level 2 leader

Thanks the CGM sculpts have alot of character

I need to add a bit of colour to the bases - probably grass tufts

can't quite settle on a height or colour though

As a suggestion, something knee high, and faded light green to tan.  That would look appropriate for the oft-dry conditions in the peninsula...maybe a bit of rock here and there...

sounds just the thing - not sure where to get them though - I've only seen the cheap ebay stuff and it all seems rather fake looking

however when I see minis online the grass used always looks much better?

Yeah - I even think that about my minis before they are completely finished.  They don't look quite right until I'm completely done with them.

I reckon it's the same with the grass tufts.  From what I've observed (mind you - I'm talking about other folks' minis - i don't use those tufts on my figs), they look "meh" in their packaging, but then look as they are supposed to when done right on the stands.

Can't say i'm loving all the white so theFrench are going to be French Legere circa 1809 even if they aren't specifically described in the rules they will match the Line infantry stats

Unit of Carabiniers - Bearskins a must and a couple of officers
