Help with mini manufacturer identification
« on: May 18, 2023, 07:59:14 AM »
Hello all,

I've come into possession of the two Norman knights pictured below from the collection of a fellow wargamer who is no longer with us. From conversations long ago, I believe these were the start of a SAGA warband that never made it. I've only got the two minis, no unpainted figures etc. I've checked the websites of the main manufacturers and cannot seem to match the minis. Its probably just me being blind! I was wondering if anyone knows the origin of these two? I have a plan to slowly build the Saga warband and play it one day in Steve's memory!  :)

Many thanks!

Yep, definitely Gripping Beast from their Normans range on their old horses.

Top of my head, Alphaspel and RSL gaming in Sweden both stock GB listed as SAGA, as well as Stronghold Terrain in Germany,

GBeast, directly: https://www.grippingbeast.co.uk/Postage_and_Packaging_Information.html

When you set your cart-shipping-zone to any "EUcountry" they will remove VAT so -19%.
Then our EUcountry customs  may ask to add our VAT (avg. 19/22%), so the total price remains quite the same.
More... if you wait for the annual GBeast 15/20% discount you will get a sort of shipping free order.

I did that way in the last 2 years.
Easy.
