Looking for a female burglar figure!
« on: May 22, 2022, 12:34:15 PM »
A bit of a strange one, I know, but...

I have a small diorama that I have to make of a woman climbing a drain pipe and wondered if anyone knew of anything suitable as a base figure.
I know I could convert something easily enough but wondered if there was anything readily available to save time.

Posting in this board as 20th century clothing would work best but may have to look further afield....

It might not be 100% what you're looking for, and she might be hard to track down by now, but this Mike McVey miniature is really cool (I think she's brilliant), and it's a female human in pretty contemporary/near future clothing, rapelling down. I'm sure you could easily make the assault rifle disappear with some converting too...

Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

I can only second that. She looks awsome.

Some good suggestions and lovely figures but awkward to make shinning up a drainpipe.
Looks like I have to convert probably, as the drainpipe is key.

Thanks for taking the time, chaps.

There was a French company that had some lady burglars IIRC but I can't recall their name unfortunately, despite buying some of their pieces. They are more 32mm and I think the burglar/s (or assassins) were crouched on chimney pots.

If the drain pipe is important, why not buy a 28mm pole dancer.   With your gs foo, you will be able to dress her a little?

Don't know if they have what you're looking for, but Bad Squiddo Games specializes in female wargame minis...

Now that is a very good idea!
It is a retirement present for a (very respectable) friend of mine.
The thought that it began life as a pole dancer would be hilarious and I am sure that would give her a really good chuckle.
Thank you!

hey we all have a day job, and that could be her cover for getting info on the heist. Or her way into the job.

I did not have time in the end as the leaving-do was moved forward a week.
I ended up having to think on my feet and make a presentation of a piece of drainpipe to act as a 'separation therapy device' kind of thing.
Weird, but it made sense to her and she liked it.
Thanks for the help with the suggestions, though.
 :)
