Making a grassy moorland using Sherpa Fleece fabric

(1/2) > >>

James Morris:
Following multiple requests after the Partizan Show, I've put together a blog post about how I made my  terrain mat that we used for our Battle of Degsastan game.  The main material is Sherpa Fleece with additional teddy bear fur fabric and tufts and scatter materials.

The full article is quite extensive and can found here: https://mogsymakes.net/2022/05/31/sherpa-fleece-terrain-mat/

Elk101:
Good blog write up on the mat construction. There's clearly a lot of work gone in to that.

aircav:
That looks fantastic, I will have to go over and take a look

Vagabond:
That's very impressive,  I'm not totally convinced by the teddy bear fur additions,  I wonder if reducing the length of the fur would make it stand up a little more like long grass. Be that as it may,  I think this is one of the best mat's I've seen.
Well done.

snitcythedog:
Well done on the toot and the mat.  Have you tried using smaller pieces of the Sherpa fleece on other surfaces/mats to add vegetation rather than as a base for the whole mat?
