Peachy, my thoughts exactly. I quite fancy an Indian army, so will buy a few samples. It will be interesting to see how they price their elephants and chariots. Aventine Miniatures produce some gorgeous Indian elephant crews but unfortunately no other figures. I can but hope.

Have to say that in the same army they do not look out of place. They are beefier, but at gaming distance, even in a small force like the one I did for Saga, the difference is not that noticeable. In a larger force I guess differences will simply disappear in the mass. But everyone will have a different opinion.

Keep an eye out for a future Assyrian release by the same sculptor.

Are these metal miniatures? They remind me of the old Vendel line though look to be more detailed sculpts.
I have a start to vendel Indians so would be nice if that were the case.

Mark, very nice. I still think they look too big to mix in units with my other figures but if I eventually buy an entire Indian army not an issue! Can I ask you what paints you use for your bronze. The effect is just what I am looking for.

Thanks.

Hi, for the bronze, I use contrast paints. I paint all armour silver then allow to dry. Now it’s the fun bit first coat is GW Nazdreg yellow. Allow to dry then I glaze with GW wyldwood. Highlights are done using Foundry Gold.  Works for me and you can always use reg glazes after GW Nazdreg to build colour. It’s a pretty quick way of  getting a good standard of bronze armour

if they're 3D printed they should be able to make them a bit smaller.  I'll ask the manufactures. If  ~  15% smaller I'd get some for sure.

hi,

They are quite small. somewhat on the chunkier side compared to Victrix or Agemawhich I ant as well. But they are very nice sculpts, perhaps a few more head positions would be good. This was my first go at painting these figures, they take paint well and they are easy to paint especially if you really thin the paint or contrast you can get some rather nice effects.

Keep painting :-)

I think the sculptor is also working on some forest tribesmen too!

I think they look great.

Very like the old vendel figs.
