The new issue of Wargames Illustrated features an interview with Mark Copplestone about his Little Soldiers range.
I've not read it either, but the magazine should be with us tomorrow. You can order a copy here:

Mr. Copplestone has done some 1848 and South American figures in this style. When can I figure on their release?

Now that has my full attention. Any details on the South American line?

Mark hasn't made ranges of 1840s or South American figures, he's made some experimental figures as these are projects he'd like to move onto once the current range is fully launched.

(He might not be that keen if people don't buy into Mark's Little Soldiers BTW).

I've just read his interview in the new Wargames Illustrated. If you were curious about why Mark has gone down this route, it's all answered there.

There's a first picture of the third special figure (to give away with Wave Three) on Mark's Instagram page:

I guess I'm going to have to wait and hope this range sells well!

I think that you can help the range sell well and test out painting the style of figures.

We have the WW1/ Interwar ruleset Contemptible Little Armies back in stock.

This is the ruleset Mark was originally going to use for The Little Soldiers, and fits them perfectly. He has moved to a more 'grid move' system, a set of rules he'll share at some time in the future, but if you wanted rules now, these are great.

Just awaiting my parcel from release 2 before finalising the organisation of my infantry for the Not Panovians and Not Slavskans. The figures paint up really easily, the Not Panovian artillery, high command and MG corps are done.  An overall spray paint of olive green was a good base to start from.
For rulesets I was thinking to adapt Iron Cross, use Setting the East Ablaze, Beyond the Empire, or Contemptible Little Armies. I have even toyed with the idea of using the Rompun Al Fuego mods for Rapid Fire.
I should love to see some Age of Rifles figures in this style, 1848 and the year of Revolutions might just do it, especially if uniforms are easily paint customisable.

There's an article on painting Mark's Little Soldiers in the new Wargames Illustrated. I've not read it yet so I can't comment. You can order it here:
