15mm Swiss Line 1812
« on: June 17, 2022, 12:46:30 PM »
The first two regiments of the Swiss contingent to the Grande Armee 1812, the 1st and 2nd Regiments, plus the skirmish bases of course.

These figures were from Stonewall Figures, Mark is a very good guy to do business with.  These are from his pre painted battalions that I have touched up.

I love the variety of the Grande Armee of 1812 lol

Very nice, I've been wondring about his pre-painted minis, how much extra work did you do?

Any chance of a shot or two of the skirmishers. I've been thinking of adding some to my French allies in the peninsular collection

I basically do a full repaint but the advantage is you do not hav eto be that careful as all the base coat colours are there.  Saything that it only takes me about 4/5 hours of painting to do all 26, including skirmishers.

Sorry I do not have any more pictures as I am away from home working.  For the skirmishers I just choose two random figures not always voltigeurs or grenadiers.  Some are just regular marching figures as they are really just a token in Black Powder.

Yeah he was a lovely guy to deal with when I bought a big bag of pirated AB Figures French Dragoons from him.  That was all the evidence we needed... :)

Not to mention all the Fantassin stuff he pirated. That was why he started painting Fantassin and then later, War modelling figures, so he could get away with the different alloy.
