Wow, what an original thread and love how you're approaching this setting with all those eclectic miniatures. This is going to be a very cool project.

Thank you DivisMal it has been fun - what was particularly funny is I was watching Masters of the Universe and doing my silly comic while my eight-year-old son was watching a documentary on Napoleon and wanting a Napoleonic Wargame - so who is the child?

Must be a mid-life crisis...  lol

Cheers Malebolgia, hopefully, you will enjoy this next "eclectic" addition...

Herewith, an unusual vehicle weapon for Skeletor's forces - I call it Gruts the Fire Belcher. Masters of the Universe always had some crazy vehicles so why not... I imagine it belching some sort of flame thrower-like flames out of its mouth.

This was an opportunity to turn a toy I had almost thrown out a couple of times into something fun. It was also an opportunity to try out some rust effects. I will also be adding some real rust to this, yes you read it correctly real rust, given this idea by Geek Gaming Scenics, see:

First up the unpainted toy.

The painted toy.

Wow. That toy fits really well. You sure it isn’t a never published, long oop REAL MotU gadget?

You’re getting along really quick, it seems!

Cheers DivisMal - "never before published" you say - I feel another comic is in order lol.

The more I look at this weapon of destruction gadget the more it looks like a Frog. That's it - FROG - Fire, Rockets, Objects and Grenades. Gruts the FROG, one of Skeletor's artillery pieces lol.

With the tit-for-tat nature of Masters of the Universe, that means He-Man will now need his own version of an artillery piece. I feel an arms race is starting lol.

I fear I may be losing the plot lol.

Note: For all the laughing in this post just imagine Skeletor's cackle  lol.

That’s the Spirit!  Of course, do the Heroic Warriors need their own version!
If the baf guys get the F.R.O.G., maybe it will be a S.A.L.A.M.A.N.D.E.R. something along the line of
Search And Light Assault Missile Attack Neutron DEath Raider  o_o

Cheers DivisMal.

Herewith, the start of an Artillery Piece for He-Man's Forces, the "Heroic Warriors" to counter the F.R.O.G.

Made from leftover spray bottle pieces I had from this project here, see:

https://frictionbmcminiatures.blogspot.com/2022/06/golgothas-sci-fi-mech-scratch-built.html

I then added some old toy wheels - so pretty basic. We will have to see how it looks painted up. It will need naming...

I am also going to be adding some big shells to stand next to it - think it has a sort of Great War feel to it... like some sort of Krupp Howitzer...

The cannon already looks pretty cool. It definitely has toy quality. It’s now mostly the colors that will associate it - The Antifrog - with the Heroic Warriors.

He-Man!  Tadadadadada….

As a PS:

I think you could add some poles / instruments sticking out of the barrel suggesting that it is an energy weapon rather than a projectile cannon. At least for me the science-fantasy aspects were always charming.

Cheers DivisMal - hope you like the changes - some more to come... I have got some ideas in the pipeline for the artillery piece and what it fires...

Herewith, the artillery piece painted and I have added a vehicle I found to pull it. Will be adding a tow hook and some touch-ups and the gun still needs some work to make the axles stop moving but otherwise largely done.

More pictures are available here: https://frictionbmcminiatures.blogspot.com/2022/07/golgothas-masters-of-universe-vehicle.html

The vehicle in its original state as a toy. Ironically like this it probably looks more like something from He-Man...  lol

Just had a thorough look at your magnificent creation.
It’s certainly got a nice wind raider vibe, which I love. I do think a bit more color could make it even better. Maybe some oragne to stay in the wind raider/man-at-arm scheme?
Or a crazy gimmick — what does it fire? It needs to (theoretically) have been a toy, to give the real MotU feelings. Was it just a cannon you could fire at snake mountain? Or did it fire some crazy stuff, like torpedoes ridable by good warriors or sentient bullets.
Certainly a good creation for you continuing manufacturing of toys that could have been!

Cheers DivisMal - I have got some ideas for it. I have since fixed the axle on the artillery piece.

Herewith the start of the RN E Studio He-Man on Battlecat, just trying to match the green at this point.

More details are available here:
https://frictionbmcminiatures.blogspot.com/2022/07/golgothas-masters-of-universe-battlecat.html

What is really nice about the miniature is that it is posed like the original first drawing of Battlecat.

Wahoo! That battlecat looks brilliant.  :o
I also read your blog post and agree: it’s nice to see the same pose as the original toy! Now I’m really excited how you will do those stripes.

The only thing I could think about that could be better, would be a removable saddle and mask  ;D
Nice WiPs, Golgotha!
