Some form of Grayskull Castle is already on my overextended to-do list.
Might just be a backdrop or STL print, But ofcourse I need a physical representation to go with my mini's

I have.
It might be an option as a base for the build. I might also do an entire scratchbuild.

Rave from the grave! After almost 18 months I return to Eternia to paint more silly childhood stuff. This time I'm starting with the Horde.
I bought these when they were released, so it really was time to paint them. And I wanted to start with the big boss himself: Hordak. His colours didn't really inspire me though, so after applying the Contrast colours he just sat there for a loooong time. But two weeks ago I decided to finish him. And as is often the case, once you get past the initial phases of painting the fun starts and I really enjoyed painting him. So yes, I'm looking forwards to painting more of the Horde!

Hordak

And another one done, this time Shadow Weaver

The sculpt is quite nice, love how basic she is. And the original toy was almost entirely in magentas, woohoo! That's one of my favourite colours, so painting was fun and went quite fast. In the end she pops like mad on the table, I do feel my camera struggles a bit capturing the intense saturation on this one. But you get the idea.

Next up will be Grizzlor!

Great stuff.
I'm struggling with some nmm on the Horde Troopers at the moment.
Nice to see  someone is still painting them. Not enough MoTU on this forum.
Hoping to get some done before my gamefound stuff arrives, 'cause it's been collecting dust for me at the moment.

The glowing rocks are a nice touch

Thanks man! Yeah, I also want to get as much finished before I receive the giant box of plastic stuff from the Gamefound. So far I'm having fun with the Horde!
For the Horde Troopers I was expecting the same struggles, with their NMM-like scheme. I was thinking of airbrushing them with blue and grey tones to get the first strong contrasts done and then finishing them with brush. To paint them purely with brush seems like a chore...

Admittedly I don't spend much time browsing the threads. SO I just stumble across your thread. GORGEOUS STUFF! Each piece is a WONDERFUL creation. OUTSTANDING WORK!

Thanks @Deafnala! I must say your awesome thread is always an inspiration, especially for this project. Your wild and vibrant colours are so much in line with that 80s toy look that they always make me want to paint more Heman!
@DivisMal: Cheers man...and keep on painting. The miniatures are just so awesome, I found out again I loved painting them

Thanks. I knew I was good for something...in this case it is returning the inspiration favor.
