June Painting
« on: June 30, 2022, 03:25:35 PM »
I have decided that a post here once a month is my way of encouraging myself to get around to painting more stuff.

Also pictures of our toys are what LA is all about, right?

After last months burst of activity things were rather slower in June - but I had to use the big brushes to decorate the downstairs bathroom and we had guests, so I'll not beat myself up too badly.

Terrain from the "I'll get round to it stack" got it this month.

Some mdf ruins were quickly done.  I applied textured paint to one but the other two were completed just using emulsion test pots.  I think they turned out quite well and will definitely be useful on the tabletop and are suitable for a lot of periods.

I may upgrade these with card roof tiles and more rubble and litter to really finish them off.

and a printed altar/place of power/whatever might make a good plot device in scenarios

There are also a handful of minis half finished and I have made up a sprue of each of the Wargames Atlantic Italians, Conquistadors and Aztec Warriors.  Maybe July will see them painted up.
No dear, they are not toys, they are models

Nice! I am about to start creating some ruins, too. I'll be interested to see how you trick your ruins out!

The ruins have come out well - in my experience adding some card roof tiles really lifts the building - probably because you see the building from the roof most often.
