Mercenary white biplane (The Flea) joins in the fun!

Assorted Chinese, Russian and Mongol cavalry attempt a doomed charge across the bridge (faced with two pillboxes loaded with HMG's, this didnt work. Surprisingly)

Chinese cavalry had more luck, and get to the sandbagged approaches.

Things are getting hot for the defenders at this point, with various Chinese irregualrs, Tibetans and Mafiosa, getting very close to the facility

However, just when they thought they had Isaacs and his evil hordes under control, Jeff Wayne's 'War of the Worlds' on the i-pod announces a new, terrifying enemy - two Martian tripods! (oh how I laughed!!!). Despite clues a plenty during the campaign, no-one gave much thought to the strange meteorite showers in the night skies above

With death rays and deadly smoke cannisters ripping units and gun positions apart, you never saw lead move so fast for the 'safety' of a zombie infested underground complex....

The scene of Mount Sarez. Texas Ted, who had up until this point managed to live upto his nickname of 'Custard', somehow managed to force his way to the front of the queue! Meanwhile Professor Linn was trying to work out the workings of the control panel into the mountain, by - no word of a lie - taking a 'rubbing' of the switch panel. Bonkers. Panic was general by this point

Most of the allies had by this point gained entry to the underground, leaving the surface to the Martian invaders...

The game then transferred itself to this improvised 'Space Hulk' type affair, with our own house rules. The rest, as they say, is history (as recorded in The Pink)
Hope you enjoyed it. Two more games to come whenever I get time. Hope the confusing mix of almost every period imaginable doesnt upset the purists too much
