Have any of you seen the first season of Billy The Kid tv series?
A nice one to watch.

       Yes, I watched it and enjoyed it very much.  I understand there were quite a few errors, but overall, it was a solid western.

It was an extremely sanitized version of the "Kid".

I found it was enjoyable to watch, but it had little in common with the life of Billy the Kid.

He's portrayed as a poor immigrant, who turns to killing people, because life is just so unfair.
SIGH........

Oddly enough, "Young Guns" was on last night.
Much better!

And it was filmed in Alberta, Canada...so looks nothing like New Mexico or Arizona. But it's still good, western entertainment.

Lincoln county does look different, that's for sure.  Go down there if you can, you can still see the bullet holes in the wall when he broke out of the old courthouse.

You can also go see Smokey the Bear's grave site, just up the road.
