Yusuf ibn Tashfin’s Almoravid Black Guard. If you have ever watched the 1961 historical epic movie staring Charlton Heston, you would definitely remember these boys. Sinister in appearance, the Black Guard truly set themselves apart from the rest of the army.

Could you perhaps provide a list of the miniatures and manufacturers you used?

Here you go buddy: Artizan, Crusader, Gripping Beast and Wargames Foundry

You can basically use any Norman range, just swap out some of the kite shields for round ones

1st Crusade - Saracen Light Cavalry. These will form part of the “Burning Coals of Islam” cavalry division of five mounted units in total.

I got Saracen Cavalry Division “The Burning Coals of Islam” on the table last night, before swapping the mat out to create the Agincourt layout. I’m happy with the way this Crusades collection is developing and looking forward to getting some games in with the boys.

Excellent work Gareth  :-* :-* :-*

Is the basing set for any particular set of rules? Or how you preferred to base them?

These size bases work well for Soldiers of God and Hail Ceaser

Ah yeah, I remember you trying to get a copy of Soldiers of God. I love the deeper basing on the Cavalry, it really brings the bases to life.
