That one genuinely brought a tear to my eye - painted by the late great Andy Zeck. I do miss that old fart.
'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

Those are quite good!
I'm not sure why I never realized before that Beastmen  of the Warhammer tour are basically just angry Fauns!

Lucid Eye have recently added beastmen:

They're pretty expensive compared to plastic boxes but very nice Steve Saleh sculpts.

Knightmare Games has really beautiful beastmen in their Pantheon of Chaos range. Tim Prow and Kev Adams sculpts in there that are very reminiscent of the some of the better early Citadel beastmen.

Really expensive if you're building an army but they really are beautiful.

If these guys are still active, might be good to add a few to what ever you go with.

Lucid Eye has some, just released  :)

I’d try and find some original Broo from Citadel,as Hobgoblin points out, they’re lovely though hard to find and pricey.

They are also tiny by modern miniatures standards though I guess beastmen/broo wouldn't all be the same size.

I have a bunch of the hard plastic fauns by Rober Dunham games. They're pretty small and thin, which makes them work well for ungors and the like.

I think they're OK sizewise - it's more the rarity of the broo that's the problem!

Midlam Miniatures do a nice range, too. Sheep-folk, pig-folk, minotaurs, even plant-folk.

Oh - and the Mantic Lower Abyssals are Ungor-sized:

If you're going cheap and cheerful you can make these work with a little trimming but they suffer from the classic Mantic problem of a blurry bum. The detail just sort of smudges together and it's hard to tell what's going on.

True about Mantic - but a bit of arbitrary blacklining usually sorts it out!

Just came across these from a link posted on the undead cavalry thread:
