I have to admit... I am a big fan of Mr. McCulloughs rules and setting ideas....
Frostgrave is an all time favorite of mine and I really enjoyed a lot of games.
When I heard of the idea of a napoleonic horror skirmish game I was instantly hooked.
I bought a ton of minis and started to paint tsrait away....
But after I finished my austrians I felt somehow exausted. Just getting the minis out of the blister and painting them felt a little dull...
Dont get me wrong... the minis are excellent. Great sculpts., full of character.
But I wanted to do something more of my own.
And I remebered that I had a small stock of 40mm Peninsular models from the Perrys.
Just enough to get 2 Gangs together...
To find suitable minis for all the monsters would be a bigger task.
Okay, here are a few pics.
First a comparison shot: 28mm-Mini Original Silver Bayonet, a 40mm-Peninsular figure and a Border-Reiver by the twins in 40mm.
The first days were full of greenstuff work to get a few Frenchies togehter...
And Reaper Bones turned out to be perfect as 40mm monsters...
As Goblins I took the original SB 28mm-goblins. For me they look the part.
A stonetroll and a camel, wich was brought from egypt... also Bones.
A Perry monk turned into an evil cultist, infantryman and a dromedary-trooper...
Okay. Stay tuned for a few colour pics...
Cheers,
Don
