Trying to identify a Skeleton miniature
« on: July 12, 2022, 05:13:13 PM »
I am trying to identify the name and make of these 3 skeleton miniatures (especially the one on the left).  I think they area Citadel Miniatures / Rogue Trader figures from the early 1990s but I can't find any pictures them in the Citadel catalogues I have or online.  Does anyone have any details about these figures.  I recently purchased them and I am repainting them.
 Thanks.

Not sure about the chap with the spear, but the other two are from the UND2 range (Citadel, 1987).

As far as I know, were Citadel not the only manufacturer to do the little round nipple (for want of a better description) that fitted into the back of the shields? In which case they are all Citadel...

Thanks, think I found the citadel Skeleton Spearman:

Sculpted by Aly Morrison like the others, this one is in the 1993 catalogue but I suspect it was first released a few years earlier, maybe 1987.

I think it's a Roy Eastland sculpt from the 4503 range; 1987 maybe?

Because of the look of the sculpt I've just spent an hour going through all the Citadel catalogues and flyers from the mid-late '80s. I eventually found yer man on eBay. 1990 according to the tab (so at least a year later than where I was looking). Not sure if it's cool to post a link (so I won't), but that would tally with the page from WD 133 shared by aiteal.

Interesting  the link from link from Aitea suggests Roy Eastland sculpted the skeleton with the spear.  The  earlier links clearly show that Aly Morrison was the sculptor of the two figures with the 2 handed weapons

Thanks,
Brian

No bother, there's a lot of fans of the older Citadel miniatures here so it's a great excuse to browse through the old catalogues. The only problem is it quite often ends up with you browsing ebay afterwards.
