I will also recommend chits to track who has been activated, particularly with multiple players.  At the club, in other games, we've had a couple times of "did I use him/her already?"

Even in this game my son had a moment where he forgot, and using the little greek coins (place them as you use a model on one turn, remove them as you use them on the next) helped resolve it very quick without argument.

Has anyone tried playing with ignoring the rule that a model can only be activated once per turn? Could be suitable heroic for the Trojan war to represent the aristeias of the Greek a
and Trojan heroes.

What we have done for years: character cards. Turn them over or side ways after a miniature has activated. Less clutter. Also keeps crafty characters from seeing who’s gone.

Lovely looking table, and great AAR.

My poor Trojans never get a break either...

I need to do some minor edits to fix things, but here are cards I've done for various leaders and factions:

https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1N2NzdrlqoeKOTBgwEI323muQ4ZP08oto/edit#slide=id.p1

I ran a scenario for the group based on the one I played with my son, and it went well.  We used a change to the rules, where Sergeants and Leaders could not be rendered out of action on to wound rolls except by other Sergeants and Leaders.  It made for an epic battle.  Memnon fought off multiple Achaeans in the middle of the table before Achilles finally did him in.  'History' repeats itself.

Overall the game ended in a draw, and no gods showed up to make things interesting.  If players had a joker, and they were a Sergeant or Leader, they could use the Joker to activate normally as well as call on one of the gods.  See below for the gods.  The gods in white either side could call on, gods in blue only Achaeans, and in red only Trojans.

i'll keep that in mind for your future games  ;)
Don't like too much counters around a figurine. Especially in convention games. That could give a bad idea of the game to the public.

Yes, we keep the counters on the cards for our games. We put on the table to help newbies and for videos.

I downloaded the figure cards. Thanks for that! The second google docs files says you need to request access. I'm a big FFOL fanboy. I think I'd use Bigger Battles and do this in 1/72 and some 20mm from Newline Designs. I was also thinking about using a variant of Lion Rampant.

Thanks
