Italian Navy working uniform in WW2
« on: July 09, 2022, 04:57:11 AM »
Having ordered a couple of Italian Landing Craft from Barrage Miniatures, the question now arises on what will I use for crew in North Africa? I have some Old Glory sailors from their Boxer Rebellion range but I feel they may be a bit outdated. Any thoughts?
Cheers,

Try this:

I’d also suggest having a look at Rosselini’s La Nave Bianca. It was shot using the Italian navy and the battle scenes show sailors in working rig. Officers wore a rather Star Wars looking field cap, Engineering types not surprisingly in boiler suits but most sailors in working dress and at battle stations wearing the Italian steel helmet painted grey and with life presevers.
