Cheers guys.
The bows are based beig and then drybrushed bone and finally white. I think pale colours are better for small or slim things as you can easily see them from distance.

wow, these look great. I wasn't too impressed with the Caesar elves from the pictures of them in the grey unpainted plastic i saw online, and opted for Dark Alliances Elves Set 3, but your paint job makes them look incredible. i've changed my opinion on these elves and think I actually prefer them now.

Jack, I also have some Elves from DA and they very poor when compared to Caesar's. These are top quality in sculpting IMHO, very nice to paint them.
Here are closer pics of them:

These are fantastic!

I agree about the quality of Caesar stuff - they often look even better in the 'flesh' than on Plastic Soldier Review, etc. And the elves are very good.

The third box of Dark Alliance elves is very good, though - I'd say that they're actually even better figures than the Caesar ones. But they're very much in the LotR movie style and are very large - true 25mm, effectively.

I have a box of the Caesar elves and am currently debating whether to paint them up as normal elves or dark elves ('Twilight Kin') for Kings of War.

Hey, hey! Now that's a very good idea. I'll paint my DA Elves as Dark Elves. Thank you!

Nicely done  :-*
When I was looking for ispiration about painted 1:72 Dark Alliance miniatures I saw your miniatures too.
These fantasy miniatures done from Dark Dream Studio are really nice, I hope they will continue to produce them and some news in the future.
I've found than a miniature I own, the FAC28 Amazon Priestess from Citadel, about early 1980, has the same scale of the Rohirrim Knights. I think I will use her as a Balchotch Witch/Shamaness/Sorceress or maybe an half orc Shamaness.

Hello, I've just finished another units of Elves. This time I painted swordmen, standar bearer, a civilian and a not Tauriel from the Adventurers' box:

This would be a guard unit:

And this all the units I painted so far from the same box:

Now I think I'll paint some more Orcs for Orctober!

All your elves look brilliant - coherent without being identical, and I really like the way you've done their armour. The thief from the Caesar Adventurers set is particularly nice. I've got a copy of her sitting in the painting queue and was not quite sure how to approach her. The colours you've chosen suit her perfectly.

Thank you very much for your kind comment. These figures are an absolute pleasure to paint as they are very detailed and sharp. I tried to paint them as Wood Elves and give them some coherence as an army. Cheers,
