Finally. Here there are the last two painted figures for the Fellowship of the Ring, Gandalf and Gollum. I am quite happy I finished this little project. I may someday paint Gondorians or Easterlings, but for now this is over.

Thank you! I think it turned out OK though I cannot say the same about the fish, which is the first one I paint and a total disaster.  :)

Painting other 1/72 adventurers for other games I realised the knight in blue and white winged helm could be a knight of Dol Amroth, so I painted his shield with a swan in it.

I said I was done with LOTR but I had this Troll unpainted and it is the most similar to the one in Moria, so I finally painted it.

And here you have the four Trolls that come in the Dark Alliance box, finally painted and ready to roll.

Cheers,

Tom, Burt and William and the other one. You know, the Moria guy. What was it now? Dave? Jeff?

The paint jobs are exemplary, btw. Lovely stuff.

I would go with Dave for the 4th troll’s name, his expression reminds me of a Dave I knew in college.

Great job on all four! They will intimidate the heck out of 1:72 figures (I use mine with my 28mm collection).

Oh! I didn't think they could be the trio from the Hobbit.  :)

Damn, this is a nice thread, I’m tossing up between 10mm, 15mm, 1/72 or 28mm fantasy, I have a large collection of them all, 1/72 is such a nice scale.

It is, realistic proportion and very affordable and easy to store.
If you are intersted, in my blog you can see Fantasy skirmish in 10mm, 15mm, 1/72 and 28mm: http://javieratwar.blogspot.com/
