6mm “Spogres” as Space Dwarves for 15mm?
« on: August 04, 2022, 06:06:46 AM »
These are the “Spogre” (“Space Ogre”) guys I’m talking about (height varies between 8mm to 11mm):

Thoughts?

I think it is a good idea & a darn good find.
I have used different scales to my satisfaction.
10mm Robots as small service droids & 'pets' on characters' bases in 28mm.
Manga robots (preferably the ones on all fours) as 'mules' in Sci-Fi games.
As well as the usual odd figures & chess pieces as statues.
A nice way of getting something different.
I say it is a Prairie Dog situation, 'Go-for it!'

10mm robots?  Which ones?  Who sells those?
Manga robots as “mules”?  Who makes those minis?
Thanks!

I have thought about using Micro World Games 6mm "Space Rats" in 15mm games.

As Robot "Mules" go I have thought about using Germy's Micro World 2mm "Quad Walker" over on GZG's site, as a Mule of sorts, have seen somewhere someone used one as a portable power station.

Unless it is the look you are going for, I think it would be cheaper to get the plastic guys Wargames tlantic or Mantic.

Those aren't 15mm though.

I have a couple of the spogres, I think they don't have the volume to really look like dwarfs, more like halflings I feel.

I had the same idea and got those space rats.  I have an Easter egg that I planned to convert into a spaceship for them.  :)  Or maybe I should have used a wheel of cheese?

Does GZG still make those “mules”?  I thought they got discontinued.  I hope not.

The 10mm robots have gone into hiding! I have tried to search different manufacturers
in the hope of finding them. No luck with that, but did find these.

Found some pictures of one of the robotic 'mules' . That, & others,
I picked up from a bring & buy (a bag full of them) so I have absolutely
no flipping idea of manufacturer.

My bad, thought I read 28mm.
