Mounted Conversions
« on: August 09, 2022, 08:20:07 AM »
These are pix of mounted figures that I converted in to Militia who rode to skirmishes on horseback, but dismounted to fight on foot.
I replaced all the heads with KMM heads and I replaced all the right arms with plastic WGF/Perry arms.
The horses are EBOB modifications.

I enjoyed making these and I am in the process of making more.
This time, I am using the later Perry one piece castings.

They look very nice and suitably varied.  Good work.
Now what is this whole life of mortals but a sort of comedy, in which the various actors, disguised by various costumes and masks, walk on and play each one his part, until the manager waves them off the stage?

Really nice looking group!

What was the base figure range that you modified with the KMM heads and Perry plastic arms?

The base figures are a mix of Foundry and Perry mounted figures.

I needed figures without attached saddles.

Those guys look great!  Well done.  Will you be showing us their dismounted versions?

"Will you be showing us their dismounted versions?"

Sure.
Here they are.

Every figure shown here has been converted.
These are pre paint so you can see where the work was done.

Can you match them to their mounted versions?

Cool!  Looking forward to seeing them painted.  THEN I'll try to match the mounted and dismounted chaps up... :D
