Those are really cool - would be great for D&D and various other RPGs too... "You meet in a tavern..."

Yeah I can think of a couple of RPG hooks with these ... but having a little skirmish in a bunk bed infested room should be fun too with all the obstacles  :D

I started working on the split interior build. I want to see if I can build this model so that one can take the upper level off and have access to both levels for interior gaming!

The lower levels worked great so far. Here it is with a new floor texture. Now I can start decorating it with bits!

And then on to the upper level!

Thanks! I added a couple of color options. This regal red one looks more like it would be the barracks/armory in a town or castle. But there are darker and more bleached ones too!

Starting to work on getting the next release ready. Here is a shot of the interior build with the levels taken apart. More pics later with interior stuff  :)

Here are  two pics showing the interior of the split build filled up with details from my Patreon Basic Bits!

the upper floor as barracks with the bunk beds and some space to sit and eat or drink  :D

the lower floor holding the armory plus storage space. I fill the walls up with weapon racks and placed some crates and barrels ... and a whetstone to sharpen blunt blades!

Looks great.

Just one comment would be - they need a fire place.  Gonna be awfully cold and no hot food without one.  So a fire place and chimney to punch through the roof - perhaps tucked into a corner?

That's a good idea. I have been thinking about that too. My first solution was they would have bowls with hot coals to warm the sleeping area, but then where do they get the hot coals from. Another idea was to have an addon. A little kitchen building on the side that would have the fireplace and chimney. Ideally designed in such a way that one could retrofit it into the main building if wanted.

I am collecting a couple of ideas now for more sets in this series so expect more to come!!!

And finally some pics with details and paperminis (by PrintableHeroes - one of my favourites for those)!

OK with that finished it's time for more in the series. I want to do walls, gatehouse and a couple of smaller extension thingies so you get a lot of options of building an outpost ... and slowly leading into working on a full castle! So stay tuned for what's to come and let me know if there is anything you would like to see!
