My (Long Gone) High Elf Tower
« on: August 12, 2022, 01:08:28 PM »
Prompted by Maciej Barwicki's enquiry into the placement of the post about the High Elf Tower that featured in White Dwarf many a moon ago- I thought I would post up some pictures of a tower put together for me by the manager of the Edinburgh shop in the very early 2000's.
Sadly I sold off all my WHFB stuff (Doh!) but I still have the memories and the beginnings of an ye olde school Orc and Goblin collection soon to followed by a Chaos army- 3rd Ed.

Still, Salad Days and all that.....

Oh, and apologies for the quality of the photo's!

That's quite nostalgic  :-*

A shame it's gone (for you), but it might still grace a table somewhere; who knows?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Yeah, it's a bit of a shame but hey, I sold my armies too at the time :)

I'm sure it is. The guy who bought it payed a pretty penny.

Very cool!

Is it built around two pots, attached base to base?

That's very nice.

As a regular haunter of the Edinburgh GW in the 90's and early 2000's I have many fond memories of the place, the staff and punters.

Early 2000's - was the manager Steph or Martin or A. N. Other?
There are 100 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who can work from incomplete data.

Two pots?  ???

It's all one in one piece.

That's very nice.

Yeah, as far as GW shops go it was very good.

Early 2000's - was the manager Steph or Martin or A. N. Other?
