I like the divers, they are well sculpted and better than any I can think of. Most are more cartoony than yours.

As for the horse and rider.....already looking good!

I love the divers! They would work for numerous other periods. Especially VSF!

Lovely figures! :-* :-*

You’ve got me thinking. In the English speaking world the Crimean War is barely remembered. In the popular imagination Florence Nightingale and just perhaps ‘The Charge of the Light Brigade’ might be recalled. Despite their being several Crimean War ranges I’ve never seen a Florence Nightingale figure in this scale.

It isn't all that surprising. I mean, as far as gaming is concerned, why would you need one? It's not like she was anywhere near the fighting. She's about as much use on the gaming table as having a figure depicting the Earl of Aberdeen. There is more justification for a Mary Seacole, but even then, what would you do with that figure on the table top?

I agree about the figures being great.

I agree, in a direct, plonk her on the table sense, there is no real rationale.

Of course if figure ranges purely reflected blokes in the act of hurting each other, you would probably be consigning about 15-20% of the stuff produced to the skip. Any number of non-combatants, see, this range. Any number of vignettes, any number of quirky, eccentric and arguably useless (in a wargaming sense) figures out there. I'd say about 15-20% of figures are just set dressing anyway.

I'm mildly surprised that nobody has commissioned Flo as a convention giveaway or that Annie over at Bad Squiddo hasn't done one.

Anyway, I digress. Hoping that this range will see a commercial release somewhere. They certianly deserve success.

figures solely to create the atmosphere of that time. of course, the mechanism of the game excludes civilians, but each of us will be pleased to have a very good moral goal. Rescue a wounded guy, protect a civilian, get a defenseless sympathy bonus. the figures of historical personalities in the entourage of time will bring the breath of time even closer. the effect of writing in a historical epoch.

They can be mission objectives (especially in skirmish games), added to terrain pieces, or simply just be there for the sake of collecting. I like the concept of having them.

Indeed. A lot of figures exist to give period flavour and a lot of potential purchasers are primarily collectors. I love what Khmorg has done with this range.

Bastion with 36-pound ship guns of the 1848 model, Aleksandrovsky Zavod and Rear Admiral Kornilov.
Vladimir Alekseevich Kornilov had a checker, which was the memory of the deceased friend of the midshipman - Zheleznov. Grigory Zheleznov bought this saber for some small money in Pyatigorsk, where the ship "12 Apostles" called in 1841. By the way, Lermontov was a second cousin of Kornilov. So the highlander sold the saber and said that he did not take money for a richly decorated saber, since there was a curse on it. Each of its owners dies in the first battle. In the very first battle, Kornilov put on this sword, since the possibility of an enemy landing was more than real. As a result, the enemy shell tore off the Rear Admiral's leg, broke the saber and killed the horse.
