Bought miniatures that are a little bit sticky
« on: August 15, 2022, 07:33:27 PM »
I have some Fireforge Games’ resin miniatures that are sticky, maybe not exactly sticky, more like little slimy but hard to describe. I routinely washed them with soap after unboxing but it didn’t help with the problem.
I do have an SLA printer and I don’t have the stickiness problem in general, I use 2 containers with IPA to filter the models through (one dirty, one clean).
Anyway, what should I do to fix the models’ tackiness? Can I safely prime them now or should I leave them for a day on the sun?

It sounds like the resin hasn't cure properly. A day in the sun certainly won't do any harm but if the tackiness remains I'd be most tempted to send them back as, even after a good priming, it can still seep through.
