Yeah, he is certainly looking the part. I used to hook my Kevlar helmet over one of the canteens on my webgear like that. Great color choices! 👍

That is very good. The black headscarf fits in now and you have added tiny bits of colour like the yellow on the gun that breaks up the all the green, those red mag-heels and that brown helmet. Just gives the eye something to linger on as you look over it. Very clever! And very effective.

Much improved.  All of these look great.

Same here.  Hated the thing.

Any protomolecule hybrid figures in your painting queue?
T.

some contained Protomolecule - will use as an objective marker. I think a hybrid figure will be too overpowering for the rules, but an infected figure or corpse is a possibility.

Cool, I have been debating on picking up the rpg as well.

You can find a free short form version of the Expanse RPG rules here.

More RPG than I am really after. I'm looking for intense boarding actions and hope the 5sec rules together with some house rules will provide this. Do love the concept and setting though, and with a decent GM could be really good fun.

Wow, your figures for this project are consistently excellent! I love the ‘hard sci-fi’ feel.

Damn looking good. Are you using the base droptrooper figs for the mercs? Or a mix of different anvil industry ranges? They are nice and gritty.
thank you for the link to the expense RPG starter book. I asked on the forms and they said they might be doing ship plans like they have in the "ships of the expense" book. But not official confirmation yet. That would be freaking awesome though.
As for Protomolecule zombies, Maybe the star grave crew zombies might work for them.

Cheers all for the very kind words re these figures.

Damn looking good. Are you using the base droptrooper figs for the mercs? Or a mix of different anvil industry ranges? They are nice and gritty.

The mercs are currently being driven by what's left in the spares box  :o.

Merc no.1
Long Hair head, but with High-Tech pilot helmet on belt.
High-Tech Armour torso
Random arms – one is bio-hazard, no idea about the other
PMC legs
Selection around waist from the pouches/webbing mega pack
Modified H&K 416 SOPMOD rifle

Merc no.2
High-Tech pilot helmet
Irregular Greatcoat torso - on basis it will not really be visible
Arms from the AR-15 with arms set (so includes the weapon, which has again been modified
Fatigue Legs
Modern Backpack on upper toros,
Greenstuff butt pack.
All added straps are lead foil, with wire carabiners

It’s more the painting  and style that ties the two figures together than the actual body parts. I will have all Mercs with a  High-Tech pilot helmet however, either worn or carried and carry the look across to all figures.

thank you for the link to the expense RPG starter book. I asked on the forms and they said they might be doing ship plans like they have in the "ships of the expense" book. But not official confirmation yet. That would be freaking awesome though.

It will be terrific if those plans are released, however in the meantime

Cervantes looks awfully familiar and I'm sure he wrote about a certain Spanish "knight" and his trusty steed Rocinante  ;)
