Best method to keep swapped heads from rolling?

What do we feel is the best way to make sure that 28mm head swaps stay swapped? Especially for singly mounted minis that get dropped, it seems like making sure the head is secure is a priority. Do modellers use and/or recommend epoxy, pinning, both?

For Plastic I find a good glue is enough.
For metal I recommend pinning & a good glue.
Sometimes (for metal) I use epoxy, other times
I 'spot weld' with a dot of Super-glue Gel, then,
when that has set, I let a drop or two of liquid
superglue flow into the join. It will find & bind
the bits missed by the 'spot weld'.

I pin all metal and most plastic as well. For metal to keep the head on, but for both because for me the precise sight-line of the figure makes or breaks the figure, and to a lesser degree the length of the neck. For example, I'm building some Fireforge figures and if you just glue the heads on as intended the figures are looking up in a very unnatural way, which jumps out at me when I look at other people's builds online. And the necks might be a bit short. I pin with a fairly thin and soft metal wire which is cheap and not too much drilling effort. Once pinned there's a bit of give to position the head looking forward, and then once dry I fill the gap with greenstuff. Example attached (more neck filling than usual was required for these but it's the pic I had to hand).
