The Foundry Book on Armies of South America in the 16th C is the definitive work I think, not sure if it's in stock or available. There's a decent painting guide that seems lifted from it online in a blog that covers Portuguese Colonial stuff.


I'm doing them soonish, got a Portuguese in Brazil project sitting atop the lead pile.
