This has come out superb! I'm always hesitant to break things down into parts with my designs but it was the correct choice here id say. I should get back to my flying wing ones as well, very inspiring this!

 Thank you, everyone!  :)

I really appreciate your interest and encouragement. I'm sure YPU can sympathise that when you're wrangling vectors at 1am and they are laughing at your efforts to make them work together, knowing people are excited for what you're creating keeps you moving that stylus or mouse!  lol

I hope I'll have this painted before release on Friday this week, but it'll be down to the wire. (Day job dullness eats valuable time better spent at the painting table...)

But, I'm not yet certain of the colour scheme to choose. I'm thinking 'great white fleet', or maybe LNER locomotive green with red bands... Anything rather than greys!!

Any thoughts?

Operating from an abandoned US spy base somewhere in the Australian outback, Miniature Martin produces games and scale miniatures set in parallel worlds, past and future. He is NOT trying to take over the Earth. This time.

Well, there is always Razzle-Dazzle!

If you think about out it too much, a good camo for most airships should be similar to that used by aircraft.  This link maybe useful.....

I decided to paint my French fleet with sky blue hulls, and whitish superstructures.

I'm a big fan of dazzle, but its a terrible scheme to showcase a miniature with  lol

And then you go to mesh and somethings broken and you get to do it all over again XD no not familiar at all.  o_o

Did I not show the Skyking painted here? I did not show the Skyking painted here!!! Well, shame upon my head! I shall immediately remedy that oversight:

Simple, very light grey, with oil wash, and ochre superstructures. 'The Great White Fleet' takes to the air!

More in the 'skyships' range to come very soon, but in the meantime, you can find the Skyking here:

Nice paint job!  :-*

Simple, but very effective.
