VBCW Blackshorts in Wales - Shots from the Herefordshire Big Game

(1/2) > >>

jp1885:
After disobeying orders in the battle of Leominster, Eustace Spode and his Blackshorts have been persona non grata as of late. So it must come as no surprise to find them shipped off to West Wales in a preparatory raid, prior to a larger landing on the Welsh coast.

Eustace thus found himself marching on the village of Llareggub. But he was not alone…

Thankfully, the platoon on Spode’s right flank were fellow royalists, so a gentleman’s agreement was quickly forged (backed up by a Fascisti section and some mortar spotters hanging around the rear).

While the police of Llareggub tangled with the other interlopers, the Spode and his new friends raced towards the village, picking up objective tokens (and tokens mean points!) along the way.

Eventually they engaged the police, forcing them back into the village. After an ill-timed tea break, Spode's troops raced to capture the final token, only to be charged by another of the platoons (a mob of Welshmen).

Still, when the tokens were totted up (some were worth more points than others), Spode just managed to squeak through a win!

It was a great game. Lots of fun! Thanks to Leadboy, Roo, Jon and Genialjim for a cracking day!

Excellent looking game as usual, Old Sport - I do miss my involvement in the campaign. That’s a very busy looking board you’re fighting on; it must have made for a cracking game.
