15th orc is a little nervous, not too crazy about this war business.

I like that one. He looks like he’s wondering whether something is sneaking up behind him! Just curious what you used for the crest on the helmet, I don’t recognize that piece.

Thanks! The crest is from the Wargames Atlantic Late Roman infantry in Lorica hamata set. It has quite a few decorative bits!

Today I worked on this Reaper Orc Spearman for Orctober, slightly modified with bits & greenstuff hair. Getting some Grendel vibes from this guy, would be good as a troll on 15mm.

The last couple turned out quite well. I like today’s orc a lot, the WA head looks good on the body dressed in scale mail. Quite the achievement getting one done per day, keep up the great work!

Only a dozen(ish) to go - keep it up.

As others have said, there's been some great kit-bashing choices throughout. Almost certainly going to pick up a sprue or two of the WA Late Romans on the strength of this, so thank you for that. Looking forward to the glamour shot with all 31 ranked up.

Another great combination. I'm with Old Hob awaiting a group shot of the regiment all together.

Thank you everyone for the kind words!

Old Hob, I started off the same, bought a sprue to play around with and having it in hand opened up a ton of possibilities - I ordered a whole box to play around with in the future, going to be the basis of some Mordor/Angmar orcs in the future.

Here's a few alt models I made based on this kit, going to be used most likely for D&D. An orc double-weapon fighter and a greataxe wielding iron age warrior. These aren't part of Orctober so I don't know when I'll get to painting them, but the iron age warrior is going to be part of a Beowulf project I'm going to work on, since the late Roman kit is good for 6th century armored warriors.

Goblin head on an orc body. Looks quite goofy now that it's painted up, but we'll see if it grows on me.

Another guy in a yellow tunic. I think I may have to revisit the face eventually but calling it done.

Apologies for missing yesterday's Orctober post, so here's yesterday's orc, today's orc, and a bonus orc!

If everything goes smoothly, we only have 9 left to go!

Nice job on the recent additions! Great progress on them and I’m looking forward to seeing the group shot at the end of the month.
