And even more Chaos Warriors...as well as two bases I made up for sorcerers using the Hero Quest villain.

Fantastic! I love the contrast between the dark red and the white on their shields, it looks gorgeous, and of course the white hand symbol is a classic :-*

Really churning some guys out now...I have two more units (maybe three?) after these guys to finish up the Chaos side and then I'll start with the Empire fellas.

Orc archer monopose plastics from the 90's.  Rescued off ebay.

Can't stop, won't stop.

The penultimate Chaos unit; beastmen!

You make those old monopose plastic figures look grand! They trigger my nostalgia in a big way. None of the ones I saw back in the day looked that good, though.

Thanks!  This is definitely addressing two things...1) I have cheap and "robust" armies to run at a convention and 2) while speed painting them quite a bit, I do get to relive my childhood dream of having a fully painted Battle Masters game - even if it's using alternate rules!

So there is some definite nostalgia in there, mixed with the pragmatic/easy approach to convention armies.

The final unit is complete!

In less than two months I finished the entire Chaos force (though I may add a hero or general unit at some point in the near future).

I'll snap some pics of the army shortly.

Superb stuff! Will the completion of the chaos project mean a return to Bazanti, or is there something else you’re planning on? Either way, the completed army looks gorgeous, cracking job :D

Nah...now I have to paint the Empire side of Battle Masters...theeeeeennn....another secret project is waiting.  The Bazanti are done for the foreseeable future.  Sadly I'm only wanting to use the Battle Masters minis for loaner armies and convention games, so I'm going to finish them...and then stuff them in a box for most of the time. :D
