Bit of trivia about the GPR - they were formed as a separate regiment in '42, before which their duties were carried out by the Army Air Corps. Towards the end of the war there was a surplus of RAF pilots, some of whom transferred to the GPR. Thus, in rare cases, you could have a GPR sergeant wearing the blue chevrons of the RAF on their sleeve. I'm going to paint one up like that, just for fun.

Good plan chaps, a couple of the brylcreem boys, wore red berets with RAF cap badges too. After Varsity the brass hats put a stop to it!
