Scott's VA Riflemen
« on: October 12, 2022, 10:23:56 PM »
Washington realized that he needed time to escape from Trenton while Cornwallis was headed his way.

So, he sent out a delaying force that included Count de Fermoy as overall Commander.
Fermoy lost his nerve and swiftly departed on horseback.

Fortunately, the quite capable Edward Hand was elevated to overall commander.

Hand fought a textbook delaying action making use of his Riflemen, who were able to inflict serious damage and then escape into the woods.

These are Scott's 5 th VA Riflemen.
Inter-spaced with the Riflemen, are troops with bayonets, to protect the Riflemen from a British bayonet charge.

Each figure has been converted using Battle Honors bodies with KMM heads.
