Seems to me you are going to need some appropriate bath house ladies for that building.

I do have a couple of models stashed somewhere ready. I just can't remember where I put them!   

How exactly will those 2 chairmen carry Dr. Manchu up those stairs.

I think rather than going upstairs, they will have to enter via the back passage!   

Eureka Miniatures make the bathing gent with a young lady standing in the bath wrapping herself in a towel.

Isn't there a model out there somewhere of a cowboy in bath with a lady - or is that just a scene from a variety of movies?  For sure on the latter, not so sure on the former.  Favorite latter would be Paint Your Wagon with Lee Marvin's character and some erstwhile 'young' lady floating down the river at the demise of No Name City.  A runner up, but not second, would be Two Mules for Sister Sara (I think).

Is the good mortician's wife named Morticia?  . And, is he a bigamist or is that his mother-in-law? 

Like his slogan, reminds me of our adolescent fun when we used to randomly answer our phone (back in the day before push button dialing and long before cell phones) with, "Greentree Mortuary, you stab 'em, we slab 'em."  And, yes, we sometimes got in trouble for it - but I'm pretty sure after our scolding the adults turned away with smiles on their faces.

Ha!  Here in the  US, I use "National Telephone Fraud Hot Line".  Only one person didn't hang up on me - but I hung up on them.

I wish there were a way to enlarge photos here on LAF like we can with Google blogs.  I'd love to get a 'closer' look at Hog Thief Bend - and various other photos.  Anyone know of a way other than using Zoom In (on Safari).

I'd say that they might have been the inspiration for the rock band Mötley Crüe.

And if not, well,  they should have been.  Not only do they fill that role, they overflow it.  Just sayin'

The lady on the left with the exaggerated shoulders is, in fact, Seymour Koch and the photographer has snapped him whilst he is indulging in his after hours hobby.

The other, rather severe looking lady, is Mr d’Emfore’s fiancé. They’ve been engaged for 17 years and the bunch of keys she is carrying may offer a clue as to why they are still together despite strong rumours that for sixteen years and six months, D’Emfore has been trying to end the arrangement.

Thanks for the update, Doug. I hadn't recognised Seymour there, in his weekend duds! Of course, as you will know, Seymour Koch is Hog Thief Bend's photographer, his premises are on Main Street.

As to D. M. 's fiancée, one Fanny Golightly, we hear she keeps a tight hold on her key ring.

Apologies for the nude MDF, but I am awaiting delivery of some more grey primer, before painting. here we have Mrs. Miggins Boarding House, the Stage Coach Office and then downstairs, the Doctor's surgery and upstairs Seymour Koch's photography studio.



Here we have, on the left, Dr. Manchu's laundry downstairs and the bath house above. Then we have the dentist, then D. M. D'Emfore's Morticians and on the corner, the Post Office.
